Request to permanently delete your account and all associated data

Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including profile information, messages, photos, and connections will be permanently removed from our systems.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, photos, bio, preferences)
  • All messages and conversations
  • Plans you've created or participated in
  • Photos and memories you've shared
  • Your connections and matches
  • Notification preferences and settings
  • Account activity and usage data

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives before permanently deleting your account:

  • Take a break by logging out temporarily
  • Adjust your notification settings in the app
  • Update your privacy settings
  • Block specific users if needed

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Through the App

  1. Open The Collective app
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
  4. Select "Delete Account"
  5. Follow the confirmation prompts

Option 2: Contact Support

If you're unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team through the in-app support feature when possible, or by reaching out through official channels.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate (0-24 hours)

Your profile becomes invisible to other users and you cannot log in.

Within 30 days

All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems.

Within 90 days

Data is removed from backup systems and cannot be recovered.

Legal Compliance

This data deletion process complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations. We may retain certain information if required by law for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or safety purposes, but this will be limited to the minimum necessary and for the shortest time required.
